Industry Awards
NEWS : The Liverpool Tattoo Convention Industry awards will now be referred
to as the 'UK Tattoo Industry Awards', next years event
as mentioned previously will see the introduction of four new catagories
in addition to the 6 launched this year:
Peoples Choice Best UK Male Artist
Peoples Choice Best UK Female Artist
Peoples Choice Best International Male Artist
Peoples Choice Best International Female Artist.
The awards will be voted for by the public and the awards will be given
out at the Tattoo Industries first Gala Award Ceremony.
A number of people who have voted will be pulled from a hat and invited
to the event.

The Liverpool Tattoo Convention as a truly independent tattoo show, will this year be introducing a series of new industry awards with the intention of doing what we can to raise standards in the tattoo industry, give credit where it is due and let the tattoo artists and tattoo enthusiasts voices be heard.
We consider that Journalists, Photographers, Publications and online resources do an invaluable job in promoting the industry, and the Tattoo scene in general, so it is only right that achievement in these areas should be acknowledged.
Also that Equipment suppliers that supply to only registered artists should be also be recognised for their contribution in preventing equipment getting into the wrong hands.
With this in mind this years new award categories are as follows:
- Best Tattoo Journalist 2010
- Best Tattoo Photographer 2010
- Best UK Tattoo Publication 2010 ( Book, Magazine or other printed publication
)
- Best International Tattoo Publication 2010
- Best Online Tattoo Resource
- 2010 Ethical Supplier Award
All entries for each of the new award categories will nominated and voted
for by the public. With the exception of the the award for Ethical Supplier
for which nominations and votes must be cast by registered tattoo artists
only+
Winner announcements will be made on the 19/20th
June at the 3rd Liverpool Tattoo Convention*
Nominations and Votes will be made online via the Liverpool Tattoo Convention
Website. Registration on the site will be required but individuals votes
will not be revealed to anyone other than the show organisers in order that
they can identify the winners. By voting you are agreeing that Liverpool
Tattoo Convention may contact you with news/updates/details of future events.
Email addresses will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed to third
parties**
The nomination page will be up and running on the 26th of April, the deadline for nominations will be Midnight on the 9th of May. Final nominees*** for each category will be published and Votes may be cast from the 11th May until midnight on the 6th of June.
Please pass this onto your friends, colleagues, favorite Journalist, favorite
publication etc etc - lets get as many people involved as possible and show
our passion for this amazing art form. If this works well we will introduce
a 'Peoples Choice Best UK Tattoo Artist' and 'Peoples Choice Best International
Tattoo Artist' award for the 2011 show.

Terms and Conditions
* if the award winner is not present at the event we will forward the award
on to them. Timings for the awards will be published in the show guide which
will be available for download prior to the event
** the ballot system is operated on a public registration basis(e.g you
register to vote) for all awards except the Ethical Supplier Award - by
the Liverpool Tattoo Convention using a system provided by Ballotbin.com.
Ballotbin.com uses a number of methods to ensure security and prevent vote
flooding. If you have any concerns please consult the FAQ on
*** the top five nominees in each category will form the list of final nominees
for that category.
+ Tattoo Artists wishing to vote for the Ethical Supplier Award should contact
us with full details and proof of registration we will then send back an
email giving details of how to vote.
One vote allowed per email address. The nominations/voting are operated
on a public vote basis(with the exception of the Ethical Supplier Award.
The voting outcome/decision of the public will be final, there is no appeal.
Timings may be subject to change. If you are nominated but do not wish to
participate you must contact us in writing. We reserve the right to cancel
one or more awards/nominations and/or voting at any time. Final nominees
for awards are displayed in no particular order and are randomised for each
session. We do not accept responsibility for any incorrectly addressed or
undelivered nominations or votes or for any disruption, delay or misdirection
of nominations or votes. No cash equivalent (where applicable) or alternative
award will be given and the award is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
We reserve the right to change the award due to circumstances beyond our
control and/or to offer an alternative. We reserve the right to disqualify
a nominee if fraud or failure to meet criteria is discovered.
